I think this was her full quote - "My opinion on the timing of the event remains the same."
was there a reason to only quote part of that sentence? Also, I don't think she ever said she found out she was mistaken about the WHOLE issue, but rather that she made a factual error and corrected it.

The cost of the SCSU aviation program for students is sure lower than University of North Dakota. What I find really funny is that our aviation graduates/students are getting jobs with industry, in control towers, corporate departments, and airlines. This is a viable program, that Potter don't know a thing about. Budget cut my A**, it's all politics.

We graduates/students want ACCOUNTABILITY, " POTTER WHEN ARE YOU RETIRING? Get out of office!!!

I am embarassed by the going ons at my alamator. I am a graduate of SCSU masters program. I have been following the SCSU aviation department story/closing. Call me old fashioned, but is it not the goal of a university to graduate people enabling them to enter the work force better educated than the competion. Is the mission of the university is not to educate students for the future jobs. I do not see the difference in educating for aviation, criminal justice, nursing, etc. These curiculum at least lead to jobs, unlike other programs at SCSU (. They are also the most wanted programs in a supply and demand world.) My kids will go to a school that educates them in a Field they pick, not not one Potter picks, that will teach them not only the abilty to learn, but to learn in a career feild that is in demand. With the cost of education skyrocketing it is even more important that a student get into a field of study that not only interest the student, but affords that student the abilty to make a living in a field that is in demand.

What is going on with President Potter?

WCCO TV aired a segment on the aviation department closure recently. Potter said "It's been thoroughly reviewed at every level and the chancellor and our board has affirmed the decision we have made." Potter also said that aviation "is not a program central to our mission" and that we are "focusing on science, technology, and engineering."

However, if you watch the smoking gun video of Potter, he seems to be at war with himself by constantly flop flopping in justifying the reasons why the aviation department was closed.

Among many things, Potter admitted that "reports of the enrollments varied widely" so he went through an enrollment validation exercise long after he made the closure decision. How does aviation not fit into the mission at SCSU however Nursing, ETS, and computer science does? Does Potter dislike aviation or is he hiding something?

If you believe this was "thoroughly reviwed at every level" after watching the videos, then I have some prime oceanfront property in Iowa for sale. Even the local village idiot can figure out that something does not smell right. Potter sure is busy trying to get the poop back into the horse.

Things Potter has done that have hurt the St. Cloud State Community and the Minnesota taxpayers:

1) Close the aviation program without even following MnSCU board policy procedure 3.36.1 which states:
Part 5. Academic Program Approval. The chancellor shall prepare guidelines for the preparation of academic program applications. The chancellor may place conditions on an academic program upon approval.
Subpart B. Approval of changes to existing academic programs.
1. Closure. Closure of an academic program must be approved by the chancellor. Approval will only be granted under the following circumstances:The closure is requested by a system college or university, and the chancellor determines that the documentation provided supports closure,
The chancellor determines that closure is warranted, or
The academic program has not been reinstated following a suspension.The academic program closure application must be documented by information, as applicable, regardingacademic program need,
student enrollment trends,
employment of graduates,
the financial circumstances affecting the academic program, system college or university,
the plan to accommodate students currently enrolled in the academic program,
impact on faculty and support staff,
consultation with appropriate constituent groups including students, faculty and community,
alternatives considered, and

4) Hired Gino Gasperini as a special assistant to him for 6 months at cost of over $100,000

5) Ended Homecoming.

6) Took trips overseas while students are suffering from increases in tuition.

7) Put up/constructing new buildings that are not even necessary such as the Coborn Plaza Apartments and ISELF.

8) Putting up a smoking ban everywhere on campus when in fact student government wants there to be exceptions to the smoking ban.

9) Yelled at St. Cloud State Aviation Students who asked him questions about his decision that closed the whole Aviation Department.

Threats from the GOP to the SCSU CR. The College Republicans were trying to navigate the media press on this event. They stopped advertising for it at that point. Bradley, the speaker had a book at the front with 60 pages of clipping of newspaper retractions from inaccurate or blatantly misleading stories on him or his events. Probably 20 more from the MN House prayer.

The protestors seemed like a good bunch. They were making t-shirts, playing music, talking, laughing. They were quiet inside too which was courteous. I think I would have had more fun outside honestly, I think I smelled a bit of weed too. Definitely wish I had been outside!

That's how it should be. Clearly the protest was the larger and more popular event. Why focus on a bigot with a band who talked to 38 college students when there is an amazing example of a group of nearly 100 students using their rights to stand up for what they believe in right outside? I'm so proud of the demonstrators. If I didn't have a final today I would have been there too.

Hello, Mr. Johnson. I'm a freelance editor working on a college textbook to be published by McGraw-Hill late in 2012. One of the chapters of the book is "Language and Learning," and our authors have identified your article, "Social Media in the Classroom," which you published on April 17 of last year, as one that they would like to include in this chapter. (Is this a foritious happening, since tomorrow is April 17?)

The entire article is too long for our purposes, so we'd like to use an excerpt of 600 - 700 words. Are you interested in this use of your work?

Having
the Israeli apartheid during this week makes perfect sense, because
it promotes their core belief: Zionism is not the same as Judaism.
One of their main speaker was a Holocaust surviver. I believe that
the writer of this article not only acted upon lack of knowledge but
also failed to attend a single event of the event she stands against,
for if she had she would have been aware both of the meaning of the
poster and the distinct difference between Judaism and Zionism.
